TOO "MALKH Stroy" offers a technology for renovation (polymer-composite rehabilitation) of large-diameter water pipelines (1000 mm and above) using the "pipe in pipe" method. Polymer materials (resistant to water, salts, alkalis) and structural glass materials are used to manufacture the water pipeline. The essence of the method lies in forming a seamless continuous pipe molding from the inside of existing water pipelines by installing a polymer-composite pipe (length is not limited).
The work includes the following stages:
1. Cleaning water pipelines from organic deposits and products of formation corrosion;
2. Surface preparation (sandblasting or mechanical cleaning, welding - if required);
3. Application of highly adhesive material to the walls of the water pipeline, installation of embedded parts in the area of adjacent valves, inspection hatches, etc.
4. Forming the pipeline by continuously laying glass material on the walls of the water pipeline;
5. Grinding off burrs on the surface of the finished pipe, preparing for the application of the finishing layer;
6. Finish coating with polymer compounds.
The strength characteristics of the manufactured polymer-composite pipe are comparable to the characteristics of the metal, so it is able to withstand all static and dynamic loads that may occur in the event of destruction of the old metal water pipeline. In addition, corrosion processes are completely eliminated, and the amount of organic deposits is significantly reduced by adding antifouling additives to the polymer. The service life of the polymer pipeline is practically unlimited (50 years or more). The manufacturing time fits into the period of major repairs of the unit, and the cost is significantly lower than the installation of a new steel water pipeline.
The advantages of the proposed method are:
• exact repetition of the shape of the existing water pipeline, practically without reducing the cross-sectional area (film and sheet materials do not repeat the shape of water pipelines);
• resistance to corrosion, does not peel off from the surface of the metal pipeline during its corrosion (film materials peel off);
• chemical resistance (salts, alkalis, acids);
• no need for excavation work (reduction of estimated costs);
• product strength, unlike film materials, polymer composite bears the structural loads of the earthen rampart.

• good maintainability.
