Diesel engines are improving and becoming more complex, the old high-pressure fuel systems have been replaced by a newer, more advanced design - Common Rail "common rail". However, the Common Rail system is technically simpler than, for example, previously used mechanical injection pump systems. Today, the Common Rail system occupies a dominant position in the market, displacing competitors with unit injectors from it. It has the undeniable advantage of a wide range of adjustment of fuel pressure and injection start time. One of the key features of common rail systems is the independence of injection processes from the angle of rotation of the crankshaft and from the engine operating mode, which makes it possible to achieve higher injection pressure at low engine operating conditions, which is necessary to meet modern environmental requirements. The main manufacturers of common rail injectors are: Denso, Bosch, Delphi and Continental. Denso and Bosch - are considered the most reliable and durable. They are less demanding on fuel quality and work more efficiently, but at the same time more expensive, and we successfully repair them, at a price much lower than the cost. Modern Common Rail injectors are precision (especially high-precision) devices. They create pressure up to 2500 bar, and the gaps between the interacting elements of the injectors are measured in fractions of micrometers. All this leads to the fact that they break due to low-quality fuel or dirt entering the fuel system, for example, corrosion particles that come off the walls of the fuel tank, or the presence of water in the fuel. Injectors have improved the performance of diesel engines and reduced their appetite for fuel, but unfortunately, the price of the injection system and injectors is high. The price of new ones is on average from 150 thousand tenge per unit, depending on the model. Fortunately, these injectors can be repaired and restored at a low cost. It is better that an authorized car service is engaged in their repair, with highly qualified specialists, reliable equipment and high-quality spare parts.
