Series "Literary Monuments" German epic poem "Kudruna" ("Gudruna"). Created in the first half of the 13th century, "Kudruna" ranks alongside the "Song of the Nibelungs" - the famous epic of the Middle Ages.
The poem was translated into Russian twice, but both versions are prosaic. A complete poetic translation into Russian has been made for the first time.
The publication is accompanied by notes and an article by R.V. Frenkel “The epic poem “Kudruna”, its origins and place in medieval German literature.”
