A short course in operative surgery with topographic anatomy. 1947

The course of operative surgery with topographic anatomy according to the new program is comprehensive. In accordance with the number of teaching hours devoted to the teaching of the subject, there is a serious need for a short textbook containing material in both disciplines. This prompted the publication of the “Course of Operative Surgery with Topographic Anatomy”, which was compiled using the “Short Course of Operative Surgery”, which has survived three editions, and the “Course of Topographic Anatomy” prepared for the third edition. The proposed textbook was put into production in Leningrad at the very beginning of World War II, so a number of materials related to wartime surgery could only be partially included in it (for example, the surgical technique for the primary treatment of wounds, elements of modern reconstructive surgery, blockade of nerves in the neck, etc. .). For this reason, when passing the subject, it is also recommended to simultaneously use the manual "Technology of Surgical Operations" in the tables (for military doctors).
