TRIPLEX LAMINATED GLASS

Triplex consists of several sheets of glass connected by a special polymer composition. Triplex is a term of Latin origin. Translated it means “triple”. Depending on the composition, triplex can be polymer or film. Both options assume that the surface will not shatter into fragments from an impact, but will be retained by an elastic layer.
Advantages and disadvantages of triplex:
• safety from injury - if the product is broken, it will not fall into small fragments, but will remain glued to the polymer layer;
• impact resistance – the material can withstand repeated mechanical impact;
• resistance to ultraviolet radiation, thanks to the connecting polymer film;
• wear resistance – such glass is not prone to scratches, fading, or delamination;
• good sound insulation;
• thermal insulation.
Manufacturers offer a choice of triplex in a variety of colors, thickness, number of layers, and levels.
