Two Modes (Analog+Digital) The MD785/785G radio can operate in either analog or digital mode. It is compatible primarily with the analog system and provides a seamless transition from analog to digital mode. Diversified Voice Call Support With the Smart Alarm feature, the MD785/785G supports various types of voice calls, including personal calls, group calls, all radio calls, and emergency calls. GPS The MD785G radio provides the ability to view GPS location data and send GPS text messages. Data Services The MD785/785G supports the ability to transfer data such as personal and group text messages. It also provides the ability to control third-party radios through API (GPS, radio registration services, radio call control, telemetry, data transmission) and telemechanics. Using Optional Accessories The MD785/785G allows you to connect optional accessories through the front and rear ports of the device (make sure the rear port supports features such as channel control and failover). Various types of analog signaling The MD785/785G radio supports various types of analog signaling (HDC1200, tone dialing phones, 2-tone and 5-tone signaling), various silent tuning schemes (CTCSS/CDCSS), bringing more functionality to the analog communication world. Supplementary Services The MD785/785G supports Supplementary Services such as radio test, remote monitoring, call notification, radio on/off. Language Support The MD785/785G supports up to 15 user-selectable languages, including English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai, Arabic, Farsi, Korean, Italian, Russian, Polish, Turkish, French, Spanish, and German. One Touch Feature The MD785/785G radio supports One Touch features that allow you to send text messages, voice calls, and access additional services with a single touch. Scanning The MD785/785G supports scanning of analog voice and alarm data, digital voice and other data, and a mixed mode of analog and digital data scanning. Roaming The MD785/785G supports automatic roaming of all sites in an IP multisite communication system. Software Upgradeable The software upgradeable allows you to add new features without purchasing a new radio. The MD785(G) can also be upgraded to MPT and DMR trunking modes with the appropriate license applicable to the same equipment.
