Depending on the quality of the surface of the rolled product and the accuracy of the dimensions of the sides, the hot-rolled square is classified as category B or category C. Products of category B have high accuracy, the curvature of the rod should not exceed 0.5% of its length with a width of up to 25 mm and 0.4% the entire length with a side of 25 mm. Steel square B has the usual accuracy: the curvature of the product should not exceed 0.5% of the length of the entire rod with any side size. According to the applied production technology, the square is classified into hot-rolled steel square and cold-rolled steel square.
