They play very well, like full-fledged outdoor speakers, they set the scene well. I listened on the author's lamp, with a power of 25 watts. Selling because bought more expensive acoustics. Box, documents included. Selling much lower than I bought, both at the rate and at the price. The price includes stands of very good quality, ideally combined with acoustics. The speaker cabinet is made of thick MDF and has non-parallel walls to dampen unwanted resonances. Additional inertness to the body is given by precisely calculated internal ties. Combined with luxurious natural wood exterior finishes, the Tannoy Revolution XT 6 speakers look simply stunning and can brighten up any interior. On the front panel of the Tannoy Revolution XT 6, a proprietary Dual Soncentric radiator is mounted, consisting of concentrically located woofers and tweeters. This design was developed and patented by Tannoy about 50 years ago, and has since been subjected to constant improvements. The Tannoy Revolution XT 6 features a 150 mm (6-inch) woofer with a cone made of laminated paper. The voice coil of the woofer with a diameter of 44 mm is placed in the field of a powerful Omnimagnet magnet, which is common to the tweeter. The dome of the latter is made of PEI synthetic material and is placed in the patented Torus Ogive sound guide. It serves to increase the efficiency of the tweeter, and also prevents sound distortion that can be caused by the movement of the woofer cone. At the base of the Tannoy Revolution XT 6 housing there is a base plate mounted with a small gap. It gives the speakers a resemblance to floor models, however, in addition to the aesthetic, it also performs an important constructive task. This air gap is necessary for the normal operation of the Tannoy Revolution XT 6 phase inverter, the outlet of which is directed downwards. As a result, acoustics reproduce uniform and deep basses, which are practically free from room resonances. On the rear panel of the Tannoy Revolution XT 6, a double gold-plated screw terminal block is mounted, providing for the possibility of connecting speakers according to the Bi-Wiring or Bi-Amping scheme. The precise, balanced and highly engaging sound of this speaker, combined with the wide stereo image, makes it one of the most versatile speakers in its class.
