Underwater camera Olympus TOUGH-8010

The Olympus Tough-8010 is the latest member of the Olympus Tough series, which offers us digital cameras that are ready to work in any environment. Their design is shockproof, waterproof, frost-resistant, able to survive a fall from one and a half meters, take a picture at a depth of up to 10 meters under water, and even allows use at temperatures down to -10 degrees Celsius. The photographer can give up long before the camera does. Inside this impressive body lies the combination of a 1/2.33 14MP image sensor and an Olympus brand 5x optical zoom lens with an effective distance of 28mm at wide angle. The 2.7-inch HyperCrystal-III LCD with 230,000 dots allows the Olympus TOUGH-8010 to frame and review images as it lacks an optical viewfinder. Like its Tough-6000 predecessor, the new Olympus Stylus Tough-8010 includes true mechanical image stabilization, an important feature that makes up half of the "Dual Image Stabilization" system. The other half, which Olympus calls "Digital Image Stabilization," increases ISO (and with it shutter speed and noise levels) to try and capture motion.
