Holland. Middle of the 20th century Solid walnut, veneer, glass Size — 64cm * 64cm * 20cm The wall showcase was made by Dutch craftsmen in the middle of the 20th century from walnut. This hinged showcase, like the Dutch showcases, serves to store and display especially valuable samples of porcelain and glass from the collection of the owner of the house. In accordance with historical patterns, the display case has a profiled pediment, decorated with a carved rocaille overlaid top. The door and sloping side walls are glazed and symmetrically separated by wooden profiles, the upper part of the door is decorated with applied carvings of floral ornament. The keyhole is decorated with a figured metal plate.
