A slider (lock or pawl) is a movable part of a zipper that ensures the opening and closing of the links (teeth) of the fastener.

The slider consists of two elements:
1. Lock - provides connection or disconnection of the zipper;
2. Slider (puller) is the “handle” of the slider.

Different types of zippers require different types of sliders:
- Haberdashery:
It is used when sewing bags and other haberdashery items, where fixing the slider in the direction of movement with a zipper is not important, but smooth movement and appearance are important, because haberdashery sliders look smaller and neater than automatic sliders.
- Machines:
They have a mechanism inside for fixing on any part of the zipper. As a rule, they are a little more massive than haberdashery ones; such runners are suitable for sewing shoes, outerwear and various equipment.
- Semi-automatic:
Unlike automatic runners, they do not contain an internal mechanism that blocks the movement. To fix it, you need to secure the slider with a stopper on the slider. Often used when sewing denim products.
Sliders come in different sizes to suit specific types of zippers. The color or coating of the slider is matched to the color of the zipper link. The specialists of FURNITUR-KZ LLP will help you choose a set of roll-up zippers and sliders that meet exactly your requirements.
