The US-2x2 has two Mic/Line inputs on XLR/TRS connectors. It is possible to use condenser microphones (phantom power +48 volts). Both inputs can be used as instrument inputs (switching is done on the front panel), in which case you can directly connect, for example, an electric guitar to them. Headphone output - standard 6.3 mm (1/4"") stereo jack, line outputs - two balanced 6.3 mm (1/4"") TRS. The US-2x2 supports 16/24-bit recording and playback from 44.1 to 96 kHz. The device is characterized by excellent sound and extremely low levels of distortion and noise, the best in its class. Excellent performance is ensured primarily by the use of two high-quality Ultra-HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) preamplifiers. The front panel contains the device controls. It should be noted that there are separate signal level controls for headphone and line outputs. US-2x2 connects to a computer with a USB cable (USB 2.0), easy to install and configure. In addition to being powered via a USB connection, there is also a connector for the PS-P520 AC adapter. The US-2x2 is also equipped with a MIDI input/output for connecting various devices and equipment, such as synthesizers or drum machines. The model is compatible with PC and Mac, and also supports iOS devices such as iPad. The package includes software for working with audio data: Cakewalk Sonar X3 LE and Ableton Live Lite 9. The US-2x2 is housed in a durable, reliable and practical aluminum case, has a stylish industrial design. The body design was developed by the German studio Box specifically for Tascam. US-2x2 has compact dimensions and low weight (slightly more than a kilogram). The side panels are removable, and due to their thoughtful shape, when the device is placed on a horizontal surface, it turns out to be raised above this surface. This provides easy access to the controls and a more comfortable use.
