Screw heads can be semicircular, countersunk, semi- countersunk or cylindrical with a special slot for a screwdriver. Wooden parts are most often connected with screws. They are widely used in the furniture industry, in the manufacture of doors and windows. The screw has special cutting edges that allow it to be screwed into wood. Screw heads are similar in shape to screw heads, but slots are made in them for a screwdriver. Today, screws for metal are also made. The maximum dimensions of such parts are: length - up to 120 mm, diameter - up to 10 mm. Screws can be attributed to the purpose and construction fasteners. Permanent connections are obtained using rivets, which are a cylindrical rod with a head. The material for these parts is low-carbon steel, copper, brass, aluminum alloys. In some cases, stainless steel rivets are used. Construction fasteners The most common type of hardware products used for construction needs are nails. For their manufacture, steel wire with a low carbon content is used. Nails are also used for household needs and in the production of containers.
