Address: Almaty, Kazakhstan
The Ural-53 tube radio receiver with an acoustic music body...has been produced in Udmurtia by the Sergo Ordzhonikidze plant since the beginning of 53. Made with 6 lamps. In this model, a two-speed universal player of long-playing gramophone records was used for the first time. The electrical circuit is identical to the two early models of '49 and '52. "Ural" is distinguished by its acoustic body made of alder and birch plywood. This causes the body to resonate on the notes; most pleasing to the ear. The body of this series is deep; the chassis is actually hidden inside. The beautiful drawing on the scale depicts pine trees on the high bank of the Ural river. Under the scale at the bottom of the receiver there are four frequency adjustment knobs. Rated output power is 1.5 W; maximum 3 W. The receiver operates at frequencies of 100-4000 Hz. Consumes 80-100 W from the network. Physical dimensions 549x393x310 mm; radiola weighs. REQUIRES RESTORATION.
