Technics SB-MX10

Acoustic system; made in Japan; Released in 1986. 3-way speaker system using TMD structure for low-frequency and mid-frequency speakers. The TMD is designed using computer vibration analysis; developed by NASA. This structure is with a unique shape; carefully selected using computer modeling. imagines a regular cone with a separately integrated central cap; which significantly increases rigidity. As a result of using the TMD structure; it is possible to expand the range of movement of the piston several times compared to a conventional cone speaker. To reproduce low frequencies, a 32 cm TMD cone speaker is used. A carbon membrane made of 2 layers to increase sound intensity. The diaphragm has low internal losses while being light weight and high rigidity. The outer diameter of the magnetic circuit is 156 mm; thickness 20 mm with a magnet weighing 1.4 kg; which securely attaches to the cast aluminum frame. To reproduce mid frequencies, a 12 cm cone TMD speaker is used. The diaphragm is two-layer carbon; piston movements up to 10 kHz. In the high-frequency region, the audio system is equipped with a slot-type speaker. Vibrating plate made of pure mica; which allows you to achieve smooth characteristics in the high-frequency region. Metallized polypropylene capacitors are used to improve sound in the low and midrange regions. Each block is securely shielded; to avoid negative influence on each other. Housing with increased strength due to the use of a new MCD design. Front deflector reduces unwanted vibration. Full-range speaker system
